Throughout the past thirty years, Mazda has developed many types of automobiles, some groundbreaking and some not so. From 2001 through 2009 Mazda made tremendous strides in increasing its overall market appeal and market share.

In 2001 Mazda introduced the Mazda Tribute, "The SUV With The Soul Of A Sports Car". The Tribute had great success for a couple of years and is still today part of the vast lineup offered by Mazda.

Two years later, Mazda made what was probably its most important introduction to its lineup, the Mazda6. This model would later become the baseline for its higher volume little brother, the Mazda3.

The Mazda6 was a combination of two predecessors, the Mazda Millenia and the Mazda 626. Combining the best of these two cars and developing a core product the Mazda6, truly put Mazda in motion.

The Mazda3, introduced in 2004 has been the number one volume vehicle for Mazda for four years. Taking the technology and enhancements from the Mazda6 and placing them in a more affordable package has been a winning combination for the manufacturer.
In 2007, Mazda released their first entry into the now popular "Crossover" segment with the CX-7. One year later, the larger CX-9 made its grand entrance.

In 2009, Mazda decided to give the Mazda6 an entire makeover. From the outside appearance to the powertrain and suspension, the all new 2009 Mazda6 is winning over many cross shoppers, even in todays down market.

Mazda has been a fore runner in the automotive market over the past decade and they don't seem to be easing up on the competition. Look for more and more advancements and developments to come out of the Mazda camp soon.
